Tawhid

Tawhid is a concept that constitutes the foundation of Islamic thought. This term expresses the oneness of Allah and the beliefs and responsibilities that this oneness entails. In terms of meaning, Tawhid is another expression of the literal meaning of monotheism. The belief in Tawhid is essential for the complete fulfillment of acts of worship and moral values in Islam. In Sufism, Tawhid emphasizes the individual's orientation towards Allah with their entire being and stresses that this orientation must be sincere.
