Zuhd
"Zuhd is defined as renouncing worldly pleasures and achieving spiritual purification."
Spiritual & Deep Meaning
Zuhd is expressed as the individual's distancing from the temporary pleasures of worldly life and turning towards spiritual values. In Sufism, Zuhd is considered a type of spiritual purification, and in this process, the individual can elevate spiritually by reducing their attachment to worldly possessions. Zuhd aims not only to detach from the world but also to purify the heart and intention of the individual. Although it is mentioned in the Qur'an, it emphasizes that one should find their true purpose in this world rather than merely avoiding the pleasures of the self. Zuhd is a moral and spiritual attitude, and in this respect, it holds a profound place in Islam.
