Knowledge
"Knowledge is the process of acquiring and understanding information; all forms of knowledge are highly valued in Islam."
Spiritual & Deep Meaning
Knowledge is one of the most important concepts in Islamic thought. It can be divided into scientific and religious knowledge. Knowledge is a product of humanity's effort to understand the universe, its own existence, and Allah. The question 'Do you know?' posed in the Qur'an emphasizes the importance of knowledge. The Islamic sciences that are foremost include hadith, fiqh, kalam, and Sufism. For a believer, acquiring knowledge is considered obligatory. Knowledge encompasses not only theory but also practice; thus, when knowledge is combined with reason, wisdom, and insight, true understanding is achieved.
Example / Wisdom Quote
"The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, 'Knowledge is the lost property of the believer. Wherever he finds it, he should take it.'"
