Fena

Fena is one of the fundamental concepts of Sufism and means the annihilation of the self. This concept indicates a person's aim to live in complete submission to Allah. Fena signifies transcending one's own existence and identity, thus becoming one with Allah. In the journey of Sufism, this stage is considered one of the highest levels of spiritual maturity. Fena occurs when an individual surrenders their own self to the existence of Allah. This process purifies the person from everything material and spiritual, leading them to a state of pure existence. With this awareness, the individual gains spiritual depth and believes in the reality of being one with His will. Fena is a critical concept for understanding and living the essence of Sufism.
