Tawhid
"Tawhid is a fundamental belief expressing the oneness of Allah and that there is nothing comparable to Him. It is the essence of Islam."
Spiritual & Deep Meaning
Tawhid is one of the cornerstones of the Islamic religion; it means accepting the oneness of Allah and not associating anything with Him. This concept is emphasized in many verses of the Qur'an. The understanding of Tawhid is the foundation of all other beliefs and acts of worship in Islam. In Sufism, Tawhid is taken to a deeper dimension. In Sufi thought, Tawhid is connected not only as a theory but also with the individual's inner experience. In this context, Tawhid becomes a way of life and deepens the individual's relationship with Allah. Sufism combines the understanding of Tawhid with a spiritual experience; this is an effort to perceive the existence and unity of Allah in everything. This understanding, based on spiritual experiences, integrates the individual both with themselves and with the universe as a whole. As a result, Tawhid is not just a belief but also a lifestyle and a mode of existence.
