Ikhlas

Ikhlas is an important concept in Islam, particularly in Sufism. This term expresses the act of doing something sincerely and genuinely, exclusively for Allah. Ikhlas is directly related to the purity and clarity of the intention in a person's heart, especially in acts of worship. In Sufi literature, being sincere is regarded as a fundamental element that determines a believer's nobility and spiritual development. The saying of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), 'Actions are judged by intentions,' emphasizes the importance of this subject. While Ikhlas aids a person in progressing in spiritual life, it also reminds us of the importance of sincerity and good intentions in social relationships.
