Jihad
"Jihad refers to the efforts expended in fighting for the sake of Allah, spreading and defending the faith."
Spiritual & Deep Meaning
Jihad encompasses all forms of struggle undertaken to protect and spread Islam. This struggle can be a physical war, but it can also be carried out through knowledge and education. In Islamic history, jihad aims for both defense and propagation. However, the most important aspect of jihad is the individual's inner struggle. This struggle with the self is seen as a fundamental necessity for a person to develop and become closer to Allah. The spirit of jihad is built upon justice, peace, and love; therefore, jihad is not limited to armed struggle.
