Araf
"Araf is the area located between Paradise and Hell, serving as a transition space for both groups."
Spiritual & Deep Meaning
Araf is a place located between Paradise and Hell after the Day of Judgment. Here, people pause between the inhabitants of Paradise and Hell, and everyone is evaluated according to their deeds. In the Quran, Araf is defined as part of the justice mechanism in the afterlife. From a Sufi perspective, Araf represents a period of spiritual questioning and maturation. The individual lives through this stage by reflecting on the mistakes of their previous life and strives for improvement, leading to a new formation. Araf also prepares the ground for the individual's inner reckoning.
