I swear by the winnowing winds, the rain-laden clouds, the ships that glide easily, and the angels who manage affairs, that the Day of Judgment, which has been promised to you, is indeed true. The Day of Reckoning will come. I swear by the winnowing winds, the rain-laden clouds, the ships that glide easily, and the angels who manage affairs, that the Day of Judgment, which has been promised to you, is indeed true. The Day of Reckoning will come. I swear by the sky that contains orbits, that indeed, O disbelievers, you are in a contradictory opinion. I swear by the sky that contains orbits, that indeed, O disbelievers, you are in a contradictory opinion. From this, those who can turn back will turn back. May the souls of those who have made lying a habit and have fallen into ignorance perish! May the souls of those who have made lying a habit and have fallen into ignorance perish! They ask about the time of the Day of Reckoning. It is the day when they will be punished in the Fire. It will be said to them: "Taste your punishment; this is what you were hastening for." Indeed, those who are conscious of Allah will be in gardens and springs, having received what their Lord has given them. For they were good-doers before this. Indeed, those who are conscious of Allah will be in gardens and springs, having received what their Lord has given them. For they were good-doers before this. They used to sleep little at night. And in the early hours of the morning, they would seek forgiveness. And in their wealth was a right for the needy and the poor, which they would give. Indeed, for the believers, there are many signs of Allah's existence in the earth and within yourselves; do you not see? Indeed, for the believers, there are many signs of Allah's existence in the earth and within yourselves; do you not see? Your provision and the promised punishment come from above. I swear by the Lord of the heavens and the earth that this is as certain and true as your speech. Have the tidings of the honored guests of Ibrahim reached you? They entered upon Ibrahim and said, "Peace be upon you." He answered, "Peace be upon you, O people unknown." He then went to his family and came with a fat calf and placed it near them, saying, "Will you not eat?" When he saw that they did not eat, he became fearful of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him good tidings of a knowledgeable boy. His wife came forward with a cry, striking her face and saying, "I am a barren old woman!" The angels said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." Ibrahim said, "O messengers! What is your business?" They said, "We have been sent to a disobedient people, to send upon them stones of baked clay marked by your Lord." They said, "We have been sent to a disobedient people, to send upon them stones of baked clay marked by your Lord." They said, "We have been sent to a disobedient people, to send upon them stones of baked clay marked by your Lord." Then, we extracted the believers who were in the town. And we found there only one household that had surrendered to Allah. And for those who feared the painful punishment, we left a sign, a remnant in that town. There is indeed a lesson in what happened to Musa: We sent him with clear signs to Pharaoh. But Pharaoh turned away with his nobles, saying, "He is a magician or a madman." Finally, We seized him and his armies and threw them into the sea, and he was deserving of blame. There is indeed a lesson in what happened to the people of 'Aad: We sent upon them a dry wind that left nothing it passed over but turned it to dust. There is indeed a lesson in what happened to the people of 'Aad: We sent upon them a dry wind that left nothing it passed over but turned it to dust. There is indeed a lesson in what happened to the people of Thamud: They were told, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." But they disobeyed the command of their Lord, and a blast seized them while they were looking. They could not rise up, nor could they be helped. We had previously punished the people of Nuh, for they were a deviating people. We constructed the heaven with strength, and indeed, We are its expander. And the earth We spread out; how well We spread it! And We have created everything in pairs so that you may take heed. Say: "So let them strive for Allah; indeed, I am a clear warner to you of His punishment." "Do not take others as gods besides Allah; indeed, I am a clear warner to you of His punishment." Whenever a messenger came to those before them, they said, "A magician or a madman." Did the predecessors pass this down to the latter? No; they were a transgressing people. So turn away from them; you are not to be blamed. And advise; indeed, the advice benefits the believers. I have only created jinn and men to worship Me. I do not ask of them any provision, nor do I ask them to feed Me. Indeed, it is Allah who is the Provider, the Possessor of Strength. The wrongdoers have similar sins to those of their predecessors; so let them not hasten for Me the punishment of the promised day.
