Translation (EN)
Alif, Lam, Mim, Ra. These are the verses of the Book. The Book that has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth; but most of the people do not believe. Allah is the One who raises the heavens without any pillars, as you can see, then He establishes Himself on the Throne; He has subjected the Sun and the Moon, each moving for an appointed time; He manages all affairs, and He explains the signs in detail, so that you may be certain that you will meet your Lord. He is the One who has spread the earth, and created mountains and rivers therein, and produced pairs of every kind of fruit, and He is the One who covers the day with night. Indeed, in these are signs for those who reflect. There are pieces of land that are adjacent to each other, all watered with the same water, and He has made some of them superior to others in taste and appearance. In this, there are signs for those who reflect. If you are astonished, then be astonished at their saying: "Will we be raised to life after we have become decayed bones?" They are those who deny their Lord. They are those who will be shackled with iron collars around their necks. They are the companions of Hell, therein they will abide forever. The idolaters ask you for evil before good, whereas many punishments have already befallen those before them. Indeed, your Lord is the Most Forgiving, despite the injustices of the people. Your Lord's punishment is indeed severe. The disbelievers say: "Shouldn't a miracle be sent down to him from his Lord?" You are only a warner. For every nation, there is a guide. Allah knows what every female carries in her womb, what the wombs lose, and what they retain. Everything is measured with Him. There is no difference between the one who conceals his speech and the one who openly declares it, nor between the one who hides by night and the one who appears by day, according to Allah, the Most High, the Great. There are those who follow the human being from behind and from before; they watch over him by the command of Allah. Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves. And when Allah intends evil for a people, there is no turning back for them. They will find no protector other than Allah. It is He who shows you the lightning, causing fear and hope, and He creates the heavy clouds. He is praised by the thunder and the angels, out of fear of Him. He sends the lightning and strikes with it whom He wills. True supplication and worship are only for Him. The idols they call upon besides Him do not respond to them at all. Their situation is like that of a man who opens his hands to the water, hoping it will reach him, but it never does. Such is the supplication of the disbelievers; it is in vain. All those in the heavens and the earth, and their shadows, willingly submit to Allah morning and evening. Say: "Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "It is Allah." Say: "Have you taken protectors besides Him who possess no power to benefit or harm themselves?" Say: "Are the blind and the seeing equal? Or is darkness equal to light?" Or have they attributed partners to Allah, who created like Him, so that their creations are similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things. He is the One who is supreme over all." Allah sends down water from the heavens, and it causes rivers to flow in abundance. The flood carries away the foam that rises to the surface. There is also foam like that which you melt in the fire to make ornaments or to benefit from. Allah gives examples of truth and falsehood: the foam vanishes, while what benefits the people remains on the earth. Allah gives many such examples. For those who respond to their Lord, there is the best reward. But those who do not respond to Him, if they had everything on earth and the same amount again, they would offer it as a ransom. Those are the ones with the worst reckoning. Their destination is Hell; what a terrible resting place! Can the one who knows that what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth be like the one who is blind? Only those who possess intellect take heed. They fulfill the covenant of Allah and do not break the contract. They join what Allah has commanded to be joined, and they fear their Lord and are afraid of a bad reckoning. They are patient, seeking the pleasure of their Lord, and they establish prayer; they spend from what We have provided them, secretly and openly; they repel evil with good. For them is the best outcome in this world, and they will enter the Gardens of Eden, where their fathers, spouses, and righteous children will enter with them. The angels will enter upon them from every gate, saying: "Peace be upon you for your patience; what an excellent reward is this world!" They are patient, seeking the pleasure of their Lord, and they establish prayer; they spend from what We have provided them, secretly and openly; they repel evil with good. For them is the best outcome in this world, and they will enter the Gardens of Eden, where their fathers, spouses, and righteous children will enter with them. The angels will enter upon them from every gate, saying: "Peace be upon you for your patience; what an excellent reward is this world!" Those who break the covenant after solid pledges, and separate what Allah has commanded to be joined, and cause corruption in the land, for them is the curse, and for them is the worst abode, Hell, which is theirs. Allah extends the provision for whom He wills and restricts it. Those who boast about the life of this world should know that the life of this world is merely a means of livelihood compared to the Hereafter. The disbelievers say: "Shouldn't a miracle be sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "Indeed, Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides to Himself those who turn to Him." Those who believe and do righteous deeds will have a good life and a beautiful return. We have sent you to a nation before which many nations have passed; they deny the Merciful Allah. Say: "He is my Lord; there is no deity except Him. I put my trust in Him, and to Him is my return." If the Qur'an had caused mountains to move or the earth to be torn apart or the dead to speak, the disbelievers would still not believe. Yet all matters belong to Allah. Do they not reflect that Allah could guide all mankind if He willed? The punishment will continue to afflict the disbelievers for what they have done until the promise of Allah is fulfilled. Allah does not break His promise. Indeed, many messengers before you were mocked. I delayed the disbelievers, then I seized them. How was My punishment? Allah observes what everyone does. Can the idols that cannot do this be compared to Allah, who watches over all? They have associated partners with Allah. Say: "Name them! Or are you informing Allah of something He does not know on earth? Or are you just following mere conjectures?" But for the disbelievers, their plots have been made to seem attractive, and they have been hindered from the right path. Indeed, there is no guidance for those whom Allah has led astray. They will have punishment in this world, and the punishment of the Hereafter is indeed more severe. They will find no protector against Allah. Rivers flow beneath the gardens of Paradise promised to those who fear Allah; their provisions and shades are eternal. This is the outcome for the righteous, while the outcome for the disbelievers is the Fire. Those to whom We have given the Book rejoice in what has been revealed to you. Among the factions, there are those who deny part of it. Say: "I am only commanded to worship Allah and not to associate anything with Him. To Him I call, and to Him is my return." Thus, We have revealed the Qur'an in Arabic as a judgment and wisdom. If you follow their desires after knowledge has come to you, then surely, you will have no protector or defender against Allah. Indeed, We have sent many messengers before you; We gave them spouses and offspring. No messenger can bring a sign except by the permission of Allah. Everything has its appointed time and measure. Allah erases what He wills and confirms what He wills; the Mother of the Book is with Him. Even if We were to show you part of the punishment We have promised them, or take your soul, your duty is only to convey. The reckoning is upon Us. Do they not see that We gradually reduce the earth from its borders? The command belongs to Allah; His command cannot be reversed. He is swift in reckoning. Those before them also plotted, but all plotting belongs to Allah. He knows what everyone does. The disbelievers will see the outcome of their deeds. The disbelievers say: "You are not a prophet." Say: "Allah and the Book that knows what you do is sufficient as a witness between me and you."
