Translation (EN)
The command of Allah will surely come; do not hasten it. Allah is exalted and free from what they associate with Him. Allah sends down His angels with revelation to whom He wills among His servants, saying: "Warn the people that there is no deity except Me, so fear Me." He has created the heavens and the earth with purpose. He is exalted above what they associate with Him. He created man from a sperm drop; yet he is an open adversary! And He created the animals for you; in them is warmth for you and many benefits. You eat of their flesh, and you derive pleasure when you bring them home and when you send them forth. They carry your burdens to lands you could not reach except with great difficulty. Indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful. He has created horses, mules, and donkeys for you to ride and as adornment. And He creates what you do not know. And [He created] the straight path. If Allah had willed, He would have guided you all. It is He who sends down water from the sky, and you drink from it, and with it grows the vegetation which you pasture your animals. Allah produces for you crops, olives, date palms, grapes, and every kind of fruit. Indeed, in that is a sign for people who reflect. He has made the night and the day, the sun and the moon, subservient to you. And the stars are also under His command. In that are signs for people who use reason. And He has created for you on the earth diverse colors. Indeed, in that is a lesson for those who take admonition. It is He who has made the sea subservient, so that you may eat fresh fish from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships cleaving through it. Perhaps you will be grateful. And He has placed firm mountains on the earth, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and paths, that you may be guided. And by the stars, they are guided. Has He who creates not become like one who does not create? Will you not then reflect? If you were to count the favors of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Allah knows what you conceal and what you declare. Those whom you invoke besides Allah create nothing, and they themselves are created. They are dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected. Your God is one God. Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts deny it, and they are arrogant. There is no doubt that Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He does not like the arrogant. And when they are asked, "What has your Lord sent down?" they say, "Tales of the ancients." Thus, they will bear their burdens fully on the Day of Resurrection, and they will bear the burdens of those whom they misled without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is what they bear! And those before them had plotted, but Allah came at their building from the foundations, and the roof fell upon them from above. And the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive. Then on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace them and say, "Where are My partners for whom you used to oppose?" Those who were given knowledge will say, "Indeed, disgrace and misery will be upon the disbelievers today." And when the angels take the souls of those who wronged themselves, they will say, "We were not doing any evil." No! Indeed, Allah knows what you used to do. Enter the gates of Hell to abide therein forever. And wretched is the residence of the arrogant! And it will be said to those who feared Allah, "What has your Lord sent down?" They will say, "Good." For those who do good in this world is good, and the home of the Hereafter is better. Indeed, it is better. How beautiful is the abode of the righteous! They will enter the Gardens of Eternity, wherein rivers flow from beneath them. There, they will be given whatever they desire. Thus, Allah rewards the righteous. When the angels take their souls in a state of purity, they say: "Peace be upon you; enter Paradise as a reward for what you used to do." Are they waiting for the angels or your Lord's command to come to them? Those before them did the same. Allah did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. Therefore, they faced the consequences of their deeds, and what they mocked surrounded them. Those who associate partners with Allah say: "If Allah had willed, neither we nor our forefathers would have worshipped anything besides Him. We would not have declared anything unlawful without His command." Those before them did the same. What is the duty of the messengers except clear communication? Indeed, We have sent a messenger to every nation, saying: "Worship Allah and avoid false gods." Allah guided some of them, while others deserved to go astray. Travel the earth and see how the end of those who denied the messengers was. No matter how much you long for them to be guided, Allah does not guide those He wills to mislead. They will have no helpers. They swear by Allah with all their might that Allah will not resurrect the dead. No; rather, it is a promise from Allah that they will know the truth about what they dispute, but most people do not know. When We will something, Our command is only to say to it, "Be," and it is. After being wronged, those who emigrate in the cause of Allah, We will surely place them in a good place in this world. But the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if only they knew! They are the ones who are patient and put their trust in their Lord. Indeed, We have sent before you certain men to whom We revealed books and scriptures. If you do not know, ask the people of the Scripture. We have also sent down the Qur'an to you so that you may clarify to the people what has been revealed to them. Perhaps they will reflect. Are those who devise evil plans safe from Allah causing the earth to swallow them, or from where they do not perceive? Or are they safe from Allah's punishment while they are in motion - and they cannot frustrate Allah - or while they are in fear of annihilation? Indeed, your Lord is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. Do they not see that all the things created by Allah, their shadows incline to the right and left, prostrating to Allah in submission? Every living being in the heavens and the earth, and the angels, prostrate to Allah without pride. They fear their Lord above them and do what they are commanded. Allah said, "Do not take two gods; He is but one God. Fear only Me." To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Worship is always for Him alone. Are you then afraid of anyone other than Allah? Every blessing that comes is from Allah. Then, when you are afflicted with a hardship, you only turn to Him for help. Once He alleviates your hardships, some of you become ungrateful for what We have given them and associate partners with their Lord. Just wait, you will soon know. Once He alleviates your hardships, some of you become ungrateful for what We have given them and associate partners with their Lord. Just wait, you will soon know. They allocate shares to idols, of which they have no knowledge, from the provision We have given them. By Allah, you will certainly be questioned about the things you have fabricated. They attribute to themselves the male children they desire, while they attribute the female children to Allah. Exalted is He above what they describe. When news is brought to one of them of the birth of a female, his face becomes darkened and he is filled with grief. He hides from the people because of the bad news he has received; should he keep it in shame, or bury it in the ground? How evil is their judgment! Those who do not believe in the Hereafter are like the example of evil. The best example is given by Allah. He is the All-Strong, the All-Wise. If Allah were to seize people for their injustices, He would not leave a living creature on the earth. But He postpones them for a specified term. When their term comes, they cannot delay it for an hour, nor can they bring it forward. They attribute to Allah what they dislike. Their tongues falsely claim that good things are theirs. There is no doubt that Hell will be theirs, and they will be brought to it beforehand. By Allah, We have certainly sent messengers to nations before you. The devil made their deeds appear good to them. Today, he is their ally. For them is a painful punishment. We have sent down to you the Book to clarify for them the matters in which they differ, and as a guidance and mercy for the believers. Allah sends down water from the heavens and revives the earth after its death. Indeed, in that is a lesson for those who listen. And indeed, in the animals there is a lesson for you. From what is within their bellies, between excretion and blood, We produce for you pure milk, palatable for drinkers. And from the fruits of the date palms and the vines, you obtain intoxicants and good provision. Indeed, in that is a lesson for a people who reflect. Your Lord inspired the bee, "Take for yourself among the mountains, houses, and among the trees, and in which they construct. Then eat from all the fruits and follow the path of your Lord, which has been made easy for you." From their bellies comes a drink of varying color wherein is healing for people. Indeed, in that is a lesson for a people who reflect. Allah created you, then He will cause you to die, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit age so that he knows not after having known. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing and All-Powerful. Allah has preferred some of you over others in provision. Those who have been preferred do not give their provision to those whom their right hands possess, so they are equal in that regard. Do they deny the favor of Allah while they know? Allah has made for you from among yourselves spouses and has made for you from your spouses sons and grandsons. He has provided for you from the good things. Yet, they believe in falsehood and deny the favor of Allah? And they worship besides Allah that which does not possess for them any provision from the heavens or the earth, nor can they have power over it. Do not set forth an example for Allah. Indeed, Allah knows, while you do not know. Allah is not like a slave who has no power over anything and is someone else's property, with what We have given. Allah sets forth the example of those who spend secretly and openly from the good things: Are they equal? Praise belongs to Allah, but most do not know. Allah gives the example of two men: One is a mute who cannot do anything, a burden to his master; wherever he is sent, no good comes from him. Can he be equal to the one who commands justice and is on the right path? To Allah belongs the unseen of the heavens and the earth; the Hour of Resurrection will come as swiftly as the blink of an eye or even quicker. Indeed, Allah is All-Powerful over all things. Allah has brought you forth from your mothers' wombs while you knew nothing. He has given you hearing, sight, and hearts, perhaps you may give thanks. Do they not see the birds flying in the open sky, submitting to Allah's command? None holds them except Allah. In this, there are lessons for the believing nation. Allah has made your homes a place of rest for you. He has created from the hides of animals tents that you can easily carry during your travels and while residing; garments and provisions made from wool, fur, and hair that you may use for a time. Allah has made for you shades from His creations; He has made for you shelters in the mountains, garments to protect you from the heat, and armor to protect you in battle. Thus, He completes His favor upon you so that you may become Muslims. If they turn away, know that your duty is only to convey the message clearly. They both know and deny Allah's favor. Indeed, most of them are disbelievers. On the Day of Resurrection, We will bring forth a witness from every nation; no permission will be given to the disbelievers to make excuses, nor will their pleas be listened to. The wrongdoers will not have their punishment lightened or delayed. When those who associate partners with Allah see their partners, they will say: "Our Lord! These are our partners whom we used to invoke besides You." Their partners will say: "Indeed, you are liars." Those who worship idols will submit to Allah's judgment that day; what they fabricated will distance itself from them. To those who deny and hinder others from Allah's path, We will give punishment upon punishment in return for their corruption. That day, We will appoint a witness from every nation against them. We will bring you as a witness against your nation. We have sent down the Qur'an to you as a guide, mercy, and glad tidings for the Muslims, explaining everything and showing the truth to the believers. Indeed, Allah commands justice, doing good, and giving to relatives; He forbids immorality, wrongdoing, and transgression. He advises you so that you may remember. Fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have made a covenant. Do not break your oaths after confirming them, while you have made Allah a guarantor for you. Indeed, Allah knows what you do. And do not be like the woman who unravels her spun thread after it has become strong, breaking your oaths because one group is more numerous than another. Allah tests you through this. And indeed, He will make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection that over which you used to differ. If Allah had willed, He would have made you one nation, but He leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. You will surely be questioned about what you used to do. Do not use oaths to deceive one another, lest a foot slip after it has been firmly planted, and you taste the evil of your hindrance from Allah's path and incur a great punishment in the Hereafter. Do not exchange the covenant of Allah for a small price. If you knew, what is with Allah is better for you. What is with you will come to an end, but what is with Allah is everlasting and will never perish. We will surely give the patient their reward according to the best of what they used to do. Whoever does good deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer, We will surely grant them a good life. We will certainly give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do. When you read, seek refuge with Allah from the accursed devil. Indeed, the devil has no authority over the believers and those who put their trust only in their Lord. His authority is only over those who take him as a friend and those who associate partners with Allah. When We replace a verse with another, and Allah knows best what He sends down, they say, "You are only inventing." No, it is not so, but most of them do not know. Say: "The Qur'an has been sent down by the Spirit of Holiness (Gabriel) from your Lord, to strengthen the faith of the believers, and as a guide and glad tidings for Muslims." And indeed, we know that they say, "Indeed, a human is teaching him." The tongue of the one they refer to is foreign, while this Qur'an is in clear Arabic. Allah does not guide those who do not believe in His signs. For them is a painful punishment. Those who fabricate lies are only those who do not believe in Allah's signs. They are indeed the liars. Except for one whose heart is filled with faith while under duress, those who disbelieve in Allah after believing and open their hearts to disbelief will have a wrath from Allah; and for them is a great punishment. This is because they prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter, and Allah does not guide the disbelieving people. Indeed, these are the ones whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed. The heedless are indeed these. There is no doubt that these are the ones who will be at a loss in the Hereafter. Your Lord is with those who have emigrated after being severely oppressed, then fought in the cause of Allah and remained patient. Your Lord will surely forgive and show mercy thereafter. The Day when every soul will be preoccupied with its own concern, and every soul will be paid in full for what it has earned without injustice. Allah gives you the example of a town that was secure and at peace, to which abundant provision came from every place. But they were ungrateful for Allah's blessings; therefore, Allah made them taste the hunger and fear as a consequence of what they used to do. Indeed, a messenger had come to them from among themselves, but they denied him. While they were wronging themselves, they were seized by punishment. If you are worshipping only Allah, then eat from the good and pure things He has provided for you, and be grateful for His blessings. Allah has only forbidden to you carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been slaughtered in the name of anyone other than Allah. But whoever is forced by necessity, without willful disobedience and transgressing limits, there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Do not say, "This is unlawful, and that is lawful," for you would be inventing a lie against Allah. Indeed, those who invent lies against Allah will not succeed. A little provision, but then a painful punishment is for them. What We have told you, We had previously made unlawful for the Jews; We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. Then indeed, your Lord is with those who do wrong out of ignorance and then repent and amend. Your Lord will forgive and show mercy thereafter. Ibrahim was indeed a leader, obedient to Allah and inclining toward truth; he was not of those who associate partners with Allah. He was grateful for His favors; Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path. We gave him good in this world, and in the Hereafter, he will surely be among the righteous. Now We have revealed to you, "Follow the religion of Ibrahim, inclining toward truth and not of those who associate partners." The observance of the Sabbath was only prescribed for those who differed over it. Your Lord will surely judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that in which they used to differ. Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord... He knows better those who deviate from their path. He also knows best those who are on the right path. If you wish to retaliate, let it be in proportion to what has been inflicted upon you. But if you endure patiently, it will surely be better for those who are patient. Be patient; your patience is only with the help of Allah. Do not grieve for them, nor be in distress over their schemes. Indeed, Allah is with those who are conscious of Him and who do good.
