Translation (EN)
Kaf, Ha, Ya, Ayn, Sad. This is a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah. He called upon his Lord inwardly, saying: "My Lord! Indeed, my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with gray hair. My Lord! I have never been in misery when calling upon You." Indeed, I fear for my relatives after me, as my wife is barren. So grant me from Yourself a son who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. My Lord! And make him pleasing to You." Allah said: "O Zechariah! Indeed, We give you good tidings of a boy whose name will be John. We have not made for any man before this name." He said: "My Lord! How can I have a boy when my wife is barren and I have reached extreme old age?" Allah said: "Thus said your Lord; Indeed, it is easy for Me, for I created you before when you were nothing." Zechariah said: "My Lord! Then give me a sign." Allah said: "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, being sound." So he came out to his people from the prayer chamber and signaled to them to glorify Allah in the morning and in the evening. "O John! Hold fast to the Scripture." And We gave him wisdom while yet a boy, and affection from Us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah. And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant. "O John! Hold fast to the Scripture." And We gave him wisdom while yet a boy, and affection from Us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah. And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant. "O John! Hold fast to the Scripture." And We gave him wisdom while yet a boy, and affection from Us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah. And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant. Peace on him the day he was born and the day he dies and the day he is raised alive. And mention in the Book, Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east. And she took in seclusion from them a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man. She said: "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, if you should be among the righteous." He said: "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you news of a pure boy." She said: "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?" He said: "Thus it will be; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter already decreed.'" So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said: "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten." But he called her from below her: "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream. And shake the trunk of this palm tree toward you; it will drop fresh, ripe dates upon you. So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have pledged to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to any man.'" So she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said: "O Mary! You have certainly done a thing unprecedented. O sister of Aaron! Your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste." So she pointed to him. They said: "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?" He said: "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet. And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive. And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a disobedient tyrant. And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I die and the day I am raised alive." That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute. It is not for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is. [Jesus said], "Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path." And factions from among them differed. So woe to those who have disbelieved from the scene of a tremendous Day! How will they be when the Day of Resurrection is established? The Day when the horn will be blown, and those who are in the graves will rise from them. And when the Horn is blown, then no kinship will remain among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who will be the successful. And those whose scales are light - they are the ones who have lost their souls, being in Hell, abiding eternally therein. The Fire will sear their faces, and they will therein grin, with lips displaced. "Were not My verses recited to you, and you used to deny them?" They will say: "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. Our Lord, remove us from it; and if we were to return to evil, we would indeed be wrongdoers." He will say: "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me." Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful." But you took them in ridicule until they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patience; they are indeed the ones who are successful. He will say: "What number of years did you remain on earth?" They will say: "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." He will say: "You stayed but a little, if you had only known. Did you think that We created you uselessly and that you would not be returned to Us?" So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. And say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."
