"Surah An-Nur is one of the most special chapters of the Holy Qur'an, and it means 'light.' This surah serves as a divine guide that illuminates our path in the darkness of life. Renowned for its virtues, Surah An-Nur contains important commandments for the beautification of morals and behaviors. Particularly recommended for establishing peace and tranquility within the family, this surah nourishes the soul and heart, providing spiritual enlightenment. Muslims seek Allah's assistance by reciting Surah An-Nur during difficult times and strive to find inner peace. Therefore, the recitation of Surah An-Nur possesses a characteristic that brings spiritual richness and benefit to all believers."

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ سُورَةٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهَا وَفَرَضْنَٰهَا وَأَنزَلْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ٱلزَّانِيَةُ وَٱلزَّانِى فَٱجْلِدُوا۟ كُلَّ وَٰحِدٍۢ مِّنْهُمَا مِا۟ئَةَ جَلْدَةٍۢ ۖ وَلَا تَأْخُذْكُم بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌۭ فِى دِينِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ ۖ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَآئِفَةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلزَّانِى لَا يَنكِحُ إِلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَةًۭ وَٱلزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنكِحُهَآ إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِكٌۭ ۚ وَحُرِّمَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ فَٱجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَٰنِينَ جَلْدَةًۭ وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَهَٰدَةً أَبَدًۭا ۚ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ شُهَدَآءُ إِلَّآ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَٰدَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ وَٱلْخَٰمِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعْنَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ وَيَدْرَؤُا۟ عَنْهَا ٱلْعَذَابَ أَن تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ وَٱلْخَٰمِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيمٌ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو بِٱلْإِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌۭ مِّنكُمْ ۚ لَا تَحْسَبُوهُ شَرًّۭا لَّكُم ۖ بَلْ هُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ ۚ لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍۢ مِّنْهُم مَّا ٱكْتَسَبَ مِنَ ٱلْإِثْمِ ۚ وَٱلَّذِى تَوَلَّىٰ كِبْرَهُۥ مِنْهُمْ لَهُۥ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ لَّوْلَآ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًۭا وَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذَآ إِفْكٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ لَّوْلَا جَآءُو عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ ۚ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشُّهَدَآءِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰذِبُونَ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِى مَآ أَفَضْتُمْ فِيهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهُۥ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِكُم مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ وَتَحْسَبُونَهُۥ هَيِّنًۭا وَهُوَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَظِيمٌۭ وَلَوْلَآ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ قُلْتُم مَّا يَكُونُ لَنَآ أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَٰذَا سُبْحَٰنَكَ هَٰذَا بُهْتَٰنٌ عَظِيمٌۭ يَعِظُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَن تَعُودُوا۟ لِمِثْلِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ وَيُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ ٱلْفَٰحِشَةُ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ ۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّبِعْ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْفَحْشَآءِ وَٱلْمُنكَرِ ۚ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ مَا زَكَىٰ مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَبَدًۭا وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُزَكِّى مَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌۭ وَلَا يَأْتَلِ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْفَضْلِ مِنكُمْ وَٱلسَّعَةِ أَن يُؤْتُوٓا۟ أُو۟لِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينَ وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَلْيَعْفُوا۟ وَلْيَصْفَحُوٓا۟ ۗ أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتِ ٱلْغَٰفِلَٰتِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ لُعِنُوا۟ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ يَوْمَ تَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ وَأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يُوَفِّيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ دِينَهُمُ ٱلْحَقَّ وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ ٱلْمُبِينُ ٱلْخَبِيثَٰتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَٱلْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَٰتِ ۖ وَٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ وَٱلطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَٰتِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ ۖ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَرِزْقٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَدْخُلُوا۟ بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ بُيُوتِكُمْ حَتَّىٰ تَسْتَأْنِسُوا۟ وَتُسَلِّمُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ فَإِن لَّمْ تَجِدُوا۟ فِيهَآ أَحَدًۭا فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا حَتَّىٰ يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِن قِيلَ لَكُمُ ٱرْجِعُوا۟ فَٱرْجِعُوا۟ ۖ هُوَ أَزْكَىٰ لَكُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌۭ لَّيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ مَسْكُونَةٍۢ فِيهَا مَتَٰعٌۭ لَّكُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا۟ مِنْ أَبْصَٰرِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا۟ فُرُوجَهُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَزْكَىٰ لَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَٰرِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَىٰ جُيُوبِهِنَّ ۖ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ أَخَوَٰتِهِنَّ أَوْ نِسَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُهُنَّ أَوِ ٱلتَّٰبِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُو۟لِى ٱلْإِرْبَةِ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ أَوِ ٱلطِّفْلِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ عَوْرَٰتِ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ۖ وَلَا يَضْرِبْنَ بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِينَ مِن زِينَتِهِنَّ ۚ وَتُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ وَأَنكِحُوا۟ ٱلْأَيَٰمَىٰ مِنكُمْ وَٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَآئِكُمْ ۚ إِن يَكُونُوا۟ فُقَرَآءَ يُغْنِهِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌۭ وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّىٰ يُغْنِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًۭا ۖ وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۚ وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا۟ فَتَيَٰتِكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْبِغَآءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًۭا لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَمَن يُكْرِههُّنَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِكْرَٰهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتٍۢ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٍۢ وَمَثَلًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةًۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ۞ ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشْكَوٰةٍۢ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ ۖ ٱلْمِصْبَاحُ فِى زُجَاجَةٍ ۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌۭ دُرِّىٌّۭ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍۢ مُّبَٰرَكَةٍۢ زَيْتُونَةٍۢ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍۢ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍۢ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِىٓءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌۭ ۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍۢ ۗ يَهْدِى ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۭ فِى بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ ٱللَّهُ أَن تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُۥ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ فِيهَا بِٱلْغُدُوِّ وَٱلْءَاصَالِ رِجَالٌۭ لَّا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَٰرَةٌۭ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءِ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۙ يَخَافُونَ يَوْمًۭا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍۢ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍۭ بِقِيعَةٍۢ يَحْسَبُهُ ٱلظَّمْـَٔانُ مَآءً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَهُۥ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْـًۭٔا وَوَجَدَ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ فَوَفَّىٰهُ حِسَابَهُۥ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ أَوْ كَظُلُمَٰتٍۢ فِى بَحْرٍۢ لُّجِّىٍّۢ يَغْشَىٰهُ مَوْجٌۭ مِّن فَوْقِهِۦ مَوْجٌۭ مِّن فَوْقِهِۦ سَحَابٌۭ ۚ ظُلُمَٰتٌۢ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ إِذَآ أَخْرَجَ يَدَهُۥ لَمْ يَكَدْ يَرَىٰهَا ۗ وَمَن لَّمْ يَجْعَلِ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ نُورًۭا فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن نُّورٍ أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلطَّيْرُ صَٰٓفَّٰتٍۢ ۖ كُلٌّۭ قَدْ عَلِمَ صَلَاتَهُۥ وَتَسْبِيحَهُۥ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُزْجِى سَحَابًۭا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَهُۥ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُۥ رُكَامًۭا فَتَرَى ٱلْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَٰلِهِۦ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن جِبَالٍۢ فِيهَا مِنۢ بَرَدٍۢ فَيُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَصْرِفُهُۥ عَن مَّن يَشَآءُ ۖ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِۦ يَذْهَبُ بِٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ يُقَلِّبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةًۭ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَآبَّةٍۢ مِّن مَّآءٍۢ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مَّن يَمْشِى عَلَىٰ بَطْنِهِۦ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَمْشِى عَلَىٰ رِجْلَيْنِ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَمْشِى عَلَىٰٓ أَرْبَعٍۢ ۚ يَخْلُقُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ لَّقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ ءَايَٰتٍۢ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٍۢ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ وَيَقُولُونَ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَبِٱلرَّسُولِ وَأَطَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّىٰ فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِذَا دُعُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِذَا فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ وَإِن يَكُن لَّهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ يَأْتُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ مُذْعِنِينَ أَفِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ أَمِ ٱرْتَابُوٓا۟ أَمْ يَخَافُونَ أَن يَحِيفَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَسُولُهُۥ ۚ بَلْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ قَوْلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذَا دُعُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَن يَقُولُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۚ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَخْشَ ٱللَّهَ وَيَتَّقْهِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ ۞ وَأَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ لَئِنْ أَمَرْتَهُمْ لَيَخْرُجُنَّ ۖ قُل لَّا تُقْسِمُوا۟ ۖ طَاعَةٌۭ مَّعْرُوفَةٌ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ قُلْ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ ۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْهِ مَا حُمِّلَ وَعَلَيْكُم مَّا حُمِّلْتُمْ ۖ وَإِن تُطِيعُوهُ تَهْتَدُوا۟ ۚ وَمَا عَلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمَا ٱسْتَخْلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى ٱرْتَضَىٰ لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًۭا ۚ يَعْبُدُونَنِى لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِى شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَأْوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ وَلَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لِيَسْتَـْٔذِنكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا۟ ٱلْحُلُمَ مِنكُمْ ثَلَٰثَ مَرَّٰتٍۢ ۚ مِّن قَبْلِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْفَجْرِ وَحِينَ تَضَعُونَ ثِيَابَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظَّهِيرَةِ وَمِنۢ بَعْدِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْعِشَآءِ ۚ ثَلَٰثُ عَوْرَٰتٍۢ لَّكُمْ ۚ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا عَلَيْهِمْ جُنَاحٌۢ بَعْدَهُنَّ ۚ طَوَّٰفُونَ عَلَيْكُم بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌۭ وَإِذَا بَلَغَ ٱلْأَطْفَٰلُ مِنكُمُ ٱلْحُلُمَ فَلْيَسْتَـْٔذِنُوا۟ كَمَا ٱسْتَـْٔذَنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌۭ وَٱلْقَوَٰعِدُ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ٱلَّٰتِى لَا يَرْجُونَ نِكَاحًۭا فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ أَن يَضَعْنَ ثِيَابَهُنَّ غَيْرَ مُتَبَرِّجَٰتٍۭ بِزِينَةٍۢ ۖ وَأَن يَسْتَعْفِفْنَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّهُنَّ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌۭ لَّيْسَ عَلَى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْأَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْمَرِيضِ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَن تَأْكُلُوا۟ مِنۢ بُيُوتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ ءَابَآئِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ إِخْوَٰنِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخَوَٰتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَعْمَٰمِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ عَمَّٰتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخْوَٰلِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ خَٰلَٰتِكُمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكْتُم مَّفَاتِحَهُۥٓ أَوْ صَدِيقِكُمْ ۚ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَأْكُلُوا۟ جَمِيعًا أَوْ أَشْتَاتًۭا ۚ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُم بُيُوتًۭا فَسَلِّمُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ تَحِيَّةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ مُبَٰرَكَةًۭ طَيِّبَةًۭ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَإِذَا كَانُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍۢ جَامِعٍۢ لَّمْ يَذْهَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُوهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُونَكَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ۚ فَإِذَا ٱسْتَـْٔذَنُوكَ لِبَعْضِ شَأْنِهِمْ فَأْذَن لِّمَن شِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمُ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ لَّا تَجْعَلُوا۟ دُعَآءَ ٱلرَّسُولِ بَيْنَكُمْ كَدُعَآءِ بَعْضِكُم بَعْضًۭا ۚ قَدْ يَعْلَمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَسَلَّلُونَ مِنكُمْ لِوَاذًۭا ۚ فَلْيَحْذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِۦٓ أَن تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ قَدْ يَعْلَمُ مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَيَوْمَ يُرْجَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۢ

Transliteration

Suratun enzelnaha ve faradnaha ve enzelna fiha ayatin beyyinatin leallekum tezekkerun. Ez zaniyetu vez zani feclidu kulle vahıdin min huma miete celdetin ve la te'huzkum bi hima ra'fetun fi dinillahi in kuntum tu'minune billahi vel yevmil ahır, vel yeşhed azabehuma taifetun minel mu'minin. Ez zani la yenkihu illa zaniyeten ev muşriketen vez zaniyetu la yenkihuha illa zanin ev muşrik, ve hurrime zalike alel mu'minin. Vellezine yermunel muhsanati summe lem ye'tu bi erbeati şuhedae fecliduhum semanine celdeten ve la takbelu lehum şehadeten ebeda, ve ulaike humul fasikun. İllellezine tabu min ba'di zalike ve aslehu, fe innallahe gafurun rahim. Vellezine yermune ezvacehum ve lem yekun lehum şuhedau illa enfusuhum fe şehadetu ehadihim erbeu şehadatin billahi innehu le mines sadıkin. Vel hamisetu enne la'netallahi aleyhi in kane minel kazibin. Ve yedrau anhel azabe en teşhede erbea şehadatin billahi innehu le minel kazibin. Vel hamisete enne gadaballahi aleyha in kane mines sadikin. Ve lev la fadlullahi aleykum ve rahmetuhu ve ennellahe tevvabun hakim. İnnellezine cau bil ifki usbetun minkum, la tahsebuhu şerren lekum, bel huve hayrun lekum, li kullimriin minhum mektesebe minel ism, vellezi tevella kibrehu minhum lehu azabun azim. Lev la iz semi'tumuhu zannel mu'minune vel mu'minatu bi enfusihim hayran ve kalu haza ifkun mubin. Lev la cau aleyhi bi erbeati şuheda, fe iz lem ye'tu biş şuhedai fe ulaike indellahi humul kazibun. Ve lev la fadlullahi aleykum ve rahmetuhu fid dunya vel ahırati le messekum fi ma efadtum fihi azabun azim. İz telakkavnehu bi elsinetikum ve tekulune bi efvahikum ma leyse lekum bihi ilmun ve tahsebunehu heyyinen ve huve indallahi azim. Ve lev la iz semi'tumuhu kultum ma yekunu lena en netekelleme bi haza subhaneke haza buhtanun azim. Yeızukumullahu en teudu li mislihi ebeden in kuntum mu'minin. Ve yubeyyinullahu lekumul ayat, vallahu alimun hakim. İnnellezine yuhıbbune en teşial fahışetu fillezine amenu lehum azabun elimun fid dunya vel ahırah, vallahu ya'lemu ve entum la ta'lemun. Ve lev la fadlullahi aleykum ve rahmetuhu ve ennallahe raufun rahim. Ya eyyuhellezine amenu la tettebiu hutuvatiş şeytan, ve men yettebi' hutuvatiş şeytani fe innehu ye'muru bil fahşai vel munker ve lev la fadlullahi aleykum ve rahmetuhu ma zeka minkum min ehadin ebeden ve lakinnallahe yuzekki men yeşau, vallahu semi'un alim. Ve la ye'teli ulul fadlı minkum ves seati en yu'tu ulil kurba vel mesakine vel muhacirine fi sebilillah, vel ya'fu vel yasfehu, e la tuhıbbune en yagfirallahu lekum, vallahu gafurun rahim. İnnellezine yermunel muhsanatil gafilatil mu'minati luınu fid dunya vel ahırati ve lehum azabun azim. Yevme teşhedu aleyhim elsinetuhum ve eydihim ve erculuhum bima kanu ya'melun. Yevme izin yuveffihimullahu dinehumul hakka ve ya'lemune ennallahe huvel hakkul mubin. El habisatu lil habisine vel habisune lil habisat, vet tayyibatu lit tayyibine vet tayyibune lit tayyibat, ulaike muberraune mimma yekulun, lehum magfiretun ve rızkun kerim. Ya eyyuhellezine amenu la tedhulu buyuten gayra buyutikum hatta teste'nisu ve tusellimu ala ehliha, zalikum hayrun lekum leallekum tezekkerun. Fe in lem tecidu fiha ehaden fe la tedhuluha hatta yu'zene lekum ve in kile lekumurciu ferciu huve ezka lekum, vallahu bima ta'melune alim. Leyse aleykum cunahun en tedhulu buyuten gayre meskunetin fiha metaun lekum, vallahu ya'lemu ma tubdune ve ma tektumun. Kul lil mu'minine yaguddu min ebsarihim ve yahfezu furucehum, zalike ezka lehum, innellahe habirun bima yasneun. Ve kul lil mu'minati yagdudne min ebsarihinne ve yahfazne furucehunne, ve la yubdine zinetehunneilla ma zahera minha, vel yadribne bi humurihinne ala cuyubihinne, ve la yubdine zinetehunne illa li buuletihinne ev abaihinne ev abai buuletihinne ev ebnaihinne ev ebnai buuletihinne ev ıhvanihinne ev beni ıhvanihinne ev beni ehavatihinne ev nisaihinne ev ma meleket eymanuhunne evit tabiine gayri ulil irbeti miner ricali evit tıflillezine lem yazharu ala avratin nisai, ve la yadribne bi erculihinne li yu'leme ma yuhfine min zinetihinn, ve tubu ilallahi cemian eyyuhel mu'minune leallekum tuflihun. Ve enkihul eyama minkum ves salihine min ibadikum ve imaikum, in yekunu fukarae yugnihimullahu min fadlih, vallahu vasiun alim. Velyesta'fifillezine la yecidune nikahan hatta yugniyehumullahu min fadlih, vellezine yebtegunel kitabe mimma meleket eymanukum fe katibuhum in alimtum fihim hayren, ve atuhum min malillahillezi atakum, ve la tukrihu feteyatikum alel bigai in eradne tehassunen li tebtegu aradal hayatid dunya ve men yukrıhhunne fe innellahe min ba'di ikrahihinne gafurun rahim. Ve lekad enzelna ileykum ayatin mubeyyinatin ve meselen minellezine halev min kablikum ve mev'izaten lil muttekin. Allahu nurus semavati vel ard, meselu nurihi ke mişkatin fiha mısbah, el mısbahu fi zucaceh, ez zucacetu ke enneha kevkebun durriyyun, yukadu min şeceratin mubaraketin zeytunetin la şarkiyetin ve la garbiyyetin, yekadu zeytuha yudiu ve lev lem temseshu nar, nurun ala nur, yehdillahu li nurihi men yeşau, ve yadribullahul emsale lin nas, vallahu bi kulli şey'in alim. Fi buyutin ezinallahu en turfea ve yuzkere fihesmuhu yusebbihu lehu fiha bil guduvvi vel asal. Ricalun la tulhihim ticaratun ve la bey'un an zikrillahi ve ikamis salati ve itaiz zekati yehafune yevmen tetekallebu fihil kulubu vel ebsar. Li yecziyehumullahu ahsene ma amilu ve yezidehum min fadlih, vallahu yerzuku men yeşau bi gayri hisab. Vellezine keferu a'maluhum ke serabin bi kiatin yahsebuhuz zam'anu mae, hatta iza caehu lem yecidhu şey'en ve vecedallahe indehu fe veffahu hisabeh, vallahu seriul hısab. Ev ke zulumatin fi bahrin lucciyyin yagşahu mevcun min fevkıhi mevcun min fevkıhi sehab, zulumatun ba'duha fevka ba'd, iza ahrace yedehu lem yeked yeraha ve men lem yec'alillahu lehu nuren fe ma lehu min nur. E lem tera ennallahe yusebbihu lehu men fis semavati vel ardı vet tayru saffat, kullun kad alime salatehu ve tesbihah, vallahu alimun bima yef'alun. Ve lillahi mulkus semavati vel ard, ve ilallahil masir. E lem tera ennallahe yuzci sehaben summe yuellifu beynehu summe yec'aluhu rukamen fe teral vedka yahrucu min hılalih, ve yunezzilu mines semai min cibalin fiha min beredin fe yusibu bihi men yeşau ve yasrifuhu an men yeşau, yekadu sena berkıhi yezhebu bil ebsar. Yukallibullahul leyle ven nehar, inne fi zalike le ibreten li ulil ebsar. Vallahu halaka kulle dabbetin min main, fe minhum men yemşi ala batnih ve minhum men yemşi ala ricleyn ve minhum men yemşi ala erba', yahlukullahu ma yeşau, innellahe ala kulli şey'in kadir. Le kad enzelna ayatin mubeyyinat, vallahu yehdi men yeşau ila sıratın mustakim. Ve yekulune amenna billahi ve bir resuli ve ata'na summe yetevella ferikun minhum min ba'di zalik ve ma ulaike bil mu'minin. Ve iza duu ilallahi ve resulihi li yahkume beynehum iza ferikun minhum mu'ridun. Ve in yekun lehumul hakku ye'tu ileyhi muz'ınin. E fi kulubihim maradun emirtabu em yehafune en yehifallahu aleyhim ve resuluh, bel ulaike humuz zalimun. İnnema kane kavlel mu'minine iza duu ilallahi ve resulihi li yahkume beynehum en yekulu semi'na ve ata'na ve ulaike humul muflihun. Ve men yutıillahe ve resulehu ve yahşallahe ve yettakhi fe ulaike humul faizun. Ve aksemu billahi cehde eymanihim le in emertehum le yahrucunn, kul la tuksimu, taatun ma'rufeh, innellahe habirun bima ta'melun. Kul atiullahe ve atiur resul, fe in tevellev fe innema aleyhi ma hummile ve aleykum ma hummiltum, ve in tutiuhu tehtedu, ve ma aler resuli illel belagul mubin. Vaadallahullezine amenu minkum ve amilus salihati leyestahlifennehum fil ardı kemestahlefellezine min kablihim, ve leyumekkinenne lehum dinehumullezirteda lehum ve le yubeddilennehum min ba'di havfihim emna, ya'buduneni la yuşrikune bi şey'a, ve men kefere ba'de zalike fe ulaike humul fasikun. Ve ekimus salate ve atuz zekate ve atiur resule leallekum turhamun. La tahsebennellezine keferu mu'cizine fil ard, ve me'vahumun nar, ve le bi'sel masir. Ya eyyuhellezine amenu li yeste'zinkumullezine meleket eymanukum vellezine lem yeblugul hulume minkum selase merrat, min kabli salatil fecri, ve hinetedaune siyabekum minez zahirat, ve min ba'di salatil ışai, selasu avratin lekum, leyse aleykum ve la aleyhim cunahun ba'de hunn, tavvafune aleykum ba'dukum ala ba'd, kezalike yubeyyinullahu lekumul ayat, vallahu alimun hakim. Ve iza belegal etfalu minkumul hulume felyeste'zinu kemeste'zenellezine min kablihim, kezalike yubeyyinullahu lekum ayatih, vallahu alimun hakim. Vel kavaıdu minen nisaillati la yercune nikahan fe leyse aleyhinne cunahun en yeda'ne siyabehunne gayra muteberricatin bi zineh, ve en yesta'fifne hayrun lehunn, vallahu semiun alim. Leyse alel a'ma haracun ve la alel a'raci haracun ve la alel maridı haracun ve la ala enfusikum en te'kulu min buyutikum ev buyuti abaikum ev buyuti ummehatikum ev buyuti ihvanikum ev buyuti ehavatikum ev buyuti a'mamikum ev buyuti ammatikum ev buyuti ahvalikum ev buyuti halatikum ev ma melektum mefatihahu ev sadikıkum, leyse aleykum cunahun en te'kulu cemian ev eştata, fe iza dahaltum buyuten fe sellimu ala enfusikum tehıyyeten min indillahi mubareketen tayyibeh, kezalike yubeyyinullahu lekumul ayati leallekum ta'kılun. İnnelmel mu'minunellezine amenu billahi ve resulihi ve iza kanu meahu ala emrin camiın lem yezhebu hatta yeste'zinuh, innellezine yeste'zinuneke ulaikellezine yu'minune billahi ve resulih, fe izeste'zenuke li ba'dı şe'nihim fe'zen li men şi'te minhum vestağfir lehumullah, innallahe gafurun rahim. La tec'alu duaer resuli beynekum ke duai ba'dıkum ba'da, kad ya'lemullahullezine yetesellelune minkum livaza, fel yahzerillezine yuhalifune an emrihi en tusibehum fitnetun ev yusibehum azabun elim. E la inne lillahi ma fis semavati vel ard, kad ya'lemu ma entum aleyh, ve yevme yurceune ileyhi fe yunebbiuhum bi ma amilu, vallahu bi kulli şey'in alim.

Translation (EN)

This is a Surah that We have sent down and made its verses clear, so that you may take admonition. Strike the adulterous woman and the adulterous man with a hundred lashes. If you believe in Allah and the Last Day, let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allah, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a group of the believers witness their punishment. The adulterer may marry none but an adulteress or a polytheist; and the adulteress, none but an adulterer or a polytheist. This is forbidden to the believers. And those who accuse chaste women and do not bring four witnesses, strike them with eighty lashes, and disallow their testimony forever. They are indeed the transgressors. Except for those who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed, Allah will forgive and have mercy. And for those who accuse their wives but have no witnesses except themselves, the testimony of one of them is to swear by Allah four times that he is indeed one of the truthful. And the fifth time, he should invoke the curse of Allah upon himself if he should be among the liars. And for her to avert the punishment from her, she must swear by Allah four times that he is indeed one of the liars. And the fifth time, that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he was among the truthful. If it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, and if Allah had not accepted repentance and been Wise, you would have been afflicted with a great punishment for what you had spread. Indeed, those who have concocted the lie are a group among you. Do not think it bad for you; rather, it is good for you. For every person among them is what he has earned of sin, and he who took upon himself the greater portion thereof - for him is a great punishment. When you heard it, why did not the believing men and believing women think good of their own people and say, "This is an obvious falsehood"? Why did they not bring four witnesses? And when they did not bring the witnesses, it is they who are with Allah the liars. Had it not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy in this world and the Hereafter, you would have been touched with a great punishment for what you had spoken. You were taking it upon your tongues and uttering with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge, and you thought it was insignificant, while it was, in the sight of Allah, tremendous. And why did you not, when you heard it, say, "It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted are You, O Allah! This is a great slander"? Allah advises you against returning to the likes of it ever, if you should be believers. And Allah makes clear the verses to you. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. Indeed, those who like to see scandal disseminated among the believers will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows, while you do not know. And if it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, and that Allah is Kind and Merciful, you would have been afflicted with a great punishment. O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan - indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing. And if it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, none of you would have been purified ever. But Allah purifies whom He wills. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing. And let not those of virtue among you and abundance swear not to give to their near relatives, the needy, and those who have emigrated for the cause of Allah. And let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like for Allah to forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. He is the Most Merciful. Those who accuse chaste, unaware, believing women of adultery are cursed in this world and the Hereafter. On the day when their own tongues, hands, and feet will testify against them for what they have done, they will face a great torment. On that day, Allah will give them their due punishment. They will know that Allah's judgment is the absolute truth. Wicked women are for wicked men, and wicked men are for wicked women. Good women are for good men, and good men are for good women. These are far removed from what they say. For them, there is forgiveness and generous provision. O believers! Do not enter other houses than your own without permission, and do not greet their owners. If you reflect, this is better for you. If you do not find anyone in the house, do not enter until you are given permission. If you are told, "Go back," then go back. This is purer for you. Allah is All-Aware of what you do. There is no blame on you for entering uninhabited houses in which you have possessions. Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal. Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts. This is purer for them. Allah is All-Aware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts, and not to display their adornments except that which is apparent. They should draw their headcovers over their necks and chests and not reveal their adornments to anyone except their husbands, fathers, fathers-in-law, sons, husbands' sons, brothers, brothers' sons, sisters' sons, Muslim women, female slaves, or those male servants who lack physical desire, or children who are unaware of women's private parts. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornments. O believers! Repent to Allah altogether, that you might succeed. Marry those among you who are single, and the righteous among your male and female slaves. If they are in poverty, Allah will enrich them from His bounty. Allah is All-Encompassing and Knowing. And let those who do not find the means to marry maintain chastity until Allah enriches them from His bounty. And if any of your slaves wishes to buy their freedom, and you see good in them, then make a contract with them. And give them from the wealth Allah has given you. And do not compel your female slaves to prostitution, if they desire chastity, in order to seek the temporary goods of this worldly life. And whoever compels them, then indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving and Most Merciful to them. We have certainly sent down to you clear verses and examples from those who passed on before you and a lesson for those who fear Allah. Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp; the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a brilliant star. It is lit from a blessed tree, an olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things. In houses which Allah has permitted to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein, exalting Him within them in the morning and the evening. They are not distracted by trade or by sale from the remembrance of Allah and the establishment of prayer and the giving of zakah. Their hearts and eyes are in a state of awe. They fear the Day. Allah rewards them with the best of what they have done and grants them abundantly from His grace. Allah provides sustenance to whom He wills without account. The deeds of the disbelievers are like mirages in vast deserts. The thirsty person perceives it as water, but when he reaches it, he finds nothing. There, he finds Allah, and He will hold him accountable. Allah is swift in reckoning. Or it is like the darkness of the deep sea, covered by waves upon waves, and above them are clouds; darkness upon darkness; when one stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it. Whoever Allah does not grant light, for him there is no light. Do you not see that all beings in the heavens and the earth, and the birds flying in rows, glorify Allah? Each one knows its own prayer and glorification. Allah is All-Aware of what they do. The dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah. To Him is the return. Do you not know that Allah drives the clouds, then gathers them together, then piles them up, and you see the rain coming forth from between them? He sends down from the sky clouds like mountains, and He causes it to rain upon whom He wills and withholds it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightning almost blinds the eyes! Allah alternates the night and the day. Indeed, in that are signs for those who can see. Allah has created every living thing from water. Some crawl on their bellies, some walk on two legs, and some walk on four. Allah creates what He wills; indeed, Allah is All-Powerful over all things. We have certainly sent down clear verses. Allah guides whom He wills to the straight path. The hypocrites say, "We believe in Allah and in the Messenger, and we obey," but then a party of them turns away after that. They are not believers. And when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them, you see a party of them turning away in aversion. They are not believers. But if the truth is on their side, they come to you in haste. Is there a disease in their hearts, or do they have doubts, or do they fear that Allah and His Messenger will be unjust to them? No; they are indeed the wrongdoers. The word of the believers when called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is only that they say, "We hear and we obey." It is they who are the successful. Those who obey Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah and are conscious of Him, it is they who will be the successful. If you command them, those two-faced ones will swear by all their strength that they will go to war. Say, "Do not swear; your obedience is known. Indeed, Allah is All-Aware of what you do." Say, "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger." If you turn away, know that the Messenger is only responsible for what is laid upon him, and you are responsible for what is laid upon you. If you obey him, you will be guided to the right path, and the Messenger's duty is only to convey clearly. Allah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous deeds that He will surely make them successors upon the earth as He made those before them successors, and He will establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them, and He will surely exchange for them their fear with security. Because they worship Me and do not associate anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that, those are the defiantly disobedient. Establish prayer, give zakat, and obey the Messenger so that you may receive mercy. And do not think that the disbelievers can escape on the earth; their refuge will be the Fire, and wretched is the destination! O you who have believed! Let those whom your right hands possess and those who have not yet reached puberty among you ask permission before entering upon you at three times: before the dawn prayer, when you put off your clothing for the noonday heat, and after the evening prayer. Let them seek permission. These are the three times when you may be accessible. Outside of these times, there is no responsibility for you or for them to enter and exit each other's presence. Allah thus explains His verses to you. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. When your children reach the age of maturity, they should seek permission just as those older than them do. There is no responsibility for elderly women who have lost hope of marriage to remove their outer garments, provided they do not display their adornments; however, it is better for them to be cautious. Allah hears and knows. There is no responsibility for the blind. There is no responsibility for the lame. There is no responsibility for the sick. There is no responsibility for you in eating in your homes or in the homes of your fathers, or in the homes of your mothers, or in the homes of your brothers, or in the homes of your sisters, or in the homes of your uncles, or in the homes of your aunts, or in the homes of your cousins, or in the homes of your guardians who have the keys, or in the homes of your friends without permission. There is also no responsibility for you whether you eat together or separately. When you enter homes, greet one another with a blessing, peace, and goodness from Allah for yourselves and your families. Allah thus explains His verses to you so that you may reflect. Indeed, the believers who believe in Allah and His Messenger do not depart without seeking permission when they gather to decide on a matter with the Messenger. Those who seek permission from you are indeed the ones who believe in Allah and His Messenger. If they seek permission from you for some of their affairs, grant permission to whomever you wish among them, and ask Allah for their forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. Do not consider the call of the Messenger as you call one another. Indeed, Allah knows those of you who slip away. Those who act contrary to His command should beware of a calamity befalling them or of a painful punishment. Be aware; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth belongs to Allah. He truly knows the state you are in and the day you will be returned to Him. He will inform them of what they have done. Allah knows everything.
