Neml

"Surah An-Naml is the 27th chapter of the Holy Qur'an and serves as a guide for the believers. In this Surah, wisdom is presented through the language of animals, particularly the ants, providing an opportunity to comprehend Allah's power and the profound secrets of creation. Surah An-Naml especially encourages patience in difficult situations and nourishes the spirit of those whose prayers are accepted. It is possible for Muslims to find inner peace and add light to their lives when reciting this Surah. While it provides spiritual relief when read, it can also create positive effects in social relationships. Always remember to enrich your life by continuously reading it."

Translation (EN)

Ta, Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an, the Clear Book. They are a guide to truth and glad tidings for the believers who establish prayer, give zakat, and firmly believe in the Hereafter. We have made the deeds of those who do not believe in the Hereafter appear good to them; therefore, they wander blindly. A painful punishment awaits them. Indeed, they will be the ones who suffer the greatest loss in the Hereafter. Surely, you receive the Qur'an from Allah, the Wise and All-Knowing. Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have seen a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find guidance at the fire." When he came to it, he was called: "Blessed is He who is in the fire and those around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds." "O Moses! Indeed, I am Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." "Throw down your staff!" When Moses saw his staff moving like a serpent, he turned to flee without looking back. "O Moses! Do not fear; indeed, the messengers do not fear in My presence, except for he who has wronged. And whoever turns a bad situation into a good one, let him know that I am indeed Forgiving and Merciful. Put your hand into your cloak; it will come out white without disease, as one of the nine signs to Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they are a transgressing people." When Our verses were presented before them, they said, "This is obvious magic." Despite their hearts acknowledging it, they denied it out of wrongdoing and arrogance. So observe how was the end of the corruptors! And We certainly gave knowledge to David and Solomon. They said, "Praise is due to Allah, who has preferred us over many of His believing servants." And Solomon inherited from David. He said, "O people! We have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty." And gathered were to Solomon the armies of jinn, men, and birds; they were marching in rows. Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his soldiers crush you while they perceive not." And Solomon smiled at her speech and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to work righteousness of which You will approve, and admit me by Your mercy among Your righteous servants." And he inspected the birds and said, "Why do I not see the hoopoe? Or is he among the absent? I will surely punish him with a severe punishment or slaughter him unless he brings me a clear excuse." The hoopoe said, "I have learned something you do not know. I bring you tidings from Sheba. I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given of all things abundantly, and she has a great throne. I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah. And Satan has made their deeds seem fair to them and has barred them from the way, so they are not guided. So there is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne." Soon the hoopoe came to Solomon and said, "I have learned something you do not know. I bring you tidings from Sheba. I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given of all things abundantly, and she has a great throne. I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah. And Satan has made their deeds seem fair to them and has barred them from the way, so they are not guided. So there is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne." Solomon said, "Is this true, or are you among the liars? We will see." "Take this letter of mine and throw it to them, then withdraw from them and see what they will return." The queen of Sheba said, "O assembly! A noble letter has been delivered to me. It is from Solomon and it begins with, 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,' and it says, 'Do not be haughty with me, but come to me in submission.'" The queen of Sheba said, "O assembly! A noble letter has been delivered to me. It is from Solomon and it begins with, 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,' and it says, 'Do not be haughty with me, but come to me in submission.'" An important letter was left sent by Solomon," she said. The queen of Sheba said, "O leaders! An important letter has been left to me from Solomon, beginning with 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,' which says, 'Do not rise against me and come to me in submission.'" She said, "O leaders! Give me your opinion regarding the command I will give; I will not make a definite judgment about a matter unless you are present with me." They said, "We are strong and fierce warriors; the command is yours, so command as you wish." The queen said, "Indeed, when kings enter a city, they corrupt it and make the honorable among its people lowly. Thus do they behave. I will send them a gift and see what the envoys will return with." When they came to Solomon, he said, "Do you wish to assist me with wealth? What Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. But perhaps you will rejoice in your gift. Return to them! By Allah, we will come to them with an army they cannot resist, and we will bring them out of there humbled and disgraced." When they came to Solomon, he said, "Do you wish to assist me with wealth? What Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. But perhaps you will rejoice in your gift. Return to them! By Allah, we will come to them with an army they cannot resist, and we will bring them out of there humbled and disgraced." Solomon said, "O assembly! Before they submit to me, which of you will bring me the throne of that queen?" An ifrit from among the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place; I have great strength for this." One who had knowledge of the Scripture said, "I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye." When Solomon saw the throne placed beside him, he said, "This is a favor from my Lord to test me whether I give thanks or act ungratefully. Whoever gives thanks, he only gives thanks for the benefit of his own soul; but whoever is ungrateful, let him know that my Lord is Self-Sufficient, Generous." Solomon said, "Make her throne unrecognizable; let us see if she will recognize it or not." When the queen arrived, it was said, "Is this your throne?" She said, "It seems to be it; we had been informed of this before and had submitted." What had kept her from submission until then were the things she used to worship besides Allah, for she was of a disbelieving people. It was said to her, "Enter the palace." When she saw it, she thought it was a deep water and drew up her skirts. Solomon said, "Indeed, this is a crystal-clear palace." The queen said, "My Lord! Indeed, I have wronged myself. I submit with Solomon to Allah, the Lord of the worlds." And indeed, We sent to the Thamud people their brother Salih, to say, "Worship Allah!" But they divided into two factions, disputing among themselves. Salih said, "O my people! Why do you seek evil in haste before good? Would you not seek forgiveness from Allah that you might receive mercy?" They said, "We have taken omens from you and those with you." Salih said, "Your omens are with Allah; rather, you are a people being tested." In that city, there were nine men who caused corruption in the land and did not amend. They said, "Let us attack him and his family by night, and then we will say to his guardian, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family,' and indeed, we are truthful." They plotted a plan. We We disrupted their plans without them noticing. Look at how the end of their deceit was! We utterly destroyed them and their nations, all of them. Here are the houses that had collapsed as a consequence of their injustices! Indeed, in this, there is a lesson for a people who know. We saved those who believed and were mindful of Allah. We also sent Lut; he said to his people: "Are you committing an indecency openly?" "Do you leave women and approach men? Indeed, you are a people behaving ignorantly." The response of his people was only: "Expel Lut's family from your city; they are supposedly purifying themselves." So we saved him and his family, except for his wife, whom we deemed to be among those who remained behind. We rained down upon those who remained behind. What a terrible rain it was for those who were warned but did not heed! Say: "All praise is due to Allah; peace be upon His chosen servants. Is Allah better, or what they associate with Him?" Or is He who created the heavens and the earth and sent down water from the sky, producing thereby gardens in which you could not grow a tree, like another god? No; they are a people who equate others with Allah. Or is He who made the earth a stable place to live and placed rivers within it, and set firm mountains upon it, and placed barriers between two seas, like another god? No; most of them do not know. Or is He who responds to the distressed when he calls upon Him and removes the evil and makes you successors upon the earth, like another god? Little do you reflect. Or is He who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea and sends the winds as heralds of His mercy, like another god? Allah is exalted above what they associate with Him. Or is He who creates first and then reproduces, and provides for you from the heavens and the earth, like another god? Say: "Bring forth your clear proof if you are among the truthful." Say: "None knows the unseen in the heavens and the earth except Allah." They do not know when they will be resurrected. Is their knowledge of the Hereafter sufficient? No; they are in doubt about it. No; they are blind to it. The disbelievers said: "Will we be raised when we have become decayed bones?" They said: "Who will return us to our former state?" They said: "This is nothing but a tale of the ancients." Say: "Travel through the earth and observe how was the end of the criminals." Do not be saddened by them. Do not be distressed by their schemes. They say: "If you are truthful, inform us when this promise will be fulfilled." Say: "Perhaps a portion of what you seek to hasten will come upon you." Indeed, your Lord is the possessor of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not show gratitude. Indeed, your Lord knows what their chests conceal and what they declare. There is nothing hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not in a clear book. Indeed, this Qur'an narrates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree. Indeed, the Qur'an is a guidance and mercy for the believers. Your Lord will surely judge between them by His decree. He is the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing. Trust in Allah; indeed, you are upon the manifest truth. Indeed, you cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs. You cannot make the call to the blind; you cannot turn them away from their misguidance and guide them to the right path; you can only convey to those who believe in Our signs; indeed, they are the Muslims. When the decree that has been said to them comes upon them, We will bring forth from the earth a creature that will speak to them, saying that the people did not truly believe in Our signs. On that day, We will gather those who denied Our signs from every nation. They will be held together and driven to the place of reckoning. When they arrive, Allah will say: "Did you deny My signs while you did not comprehend them? Or what was it that you were doing?" The words they were told will come upon them due to their injustices. They will be unable to speak. Have they not seen that We created the night for them to rest in and the day for them to work? Indeed, in this are signs for a believing nation. On the day when the trumpet is blown, those in the heavens and those on the earth, except for whom Allah wills, will be filled with fear. They will all come to Allah humbled. You will see the mountains, thinking them solid, while they will pass like clouds. This is the work of Allah, who holds everything together. Indeed, He is All-Aware of what you do. Whoever brings a good deed will have better than it given to him. They will be safe from the fear of that day. Those who bring evil deeds will be thrown face down into the Fire. It will be said: "Will you be punished for anything other than what you used to do?" Say: "I have been commanded to worship the Lord of this blessed city, who is the Owner of all things. I have been commanded to be one of the Muslims and to recite the Qur'an." Whoever has found the right path has only found it for himself, and whoever goes astray does so to his own detriment. Say: "I am only a warner." Say: "All praise is due to Allah. He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them." Your Lord is not unaware of what you do.
