The Pen

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ نٓ ۚ وَٱلْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ مَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍۢ وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍۢ وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍۢ فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُونَ بِأَييِّكُمُ ٱلْمَفْتُونُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ وَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍۢ مَّهِينٍ هَمَّازٍۢ مَّشَّآءٍۭ بِنَمِيمٍۢ مَّنَّاعٍۢ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ عُتُلٍّۭ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالٍۢ وَبَنِينَ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ سَنَسِمُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْخُرْطُومِ إِنَّا بَلَوْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَآ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا۟ لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُونَ فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَآئِفٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ فَأَصْبَحَتْ كَٱلصَّرِيمِ فَتَنَادَوْا۟ مُصْبِحِينَ أَنِ ٱغْدُوا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْثِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰرِمِينَ فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَتَخَٰفَتُونَ أَن لَّا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكُم مِّسْكِينٌۭ وَغَدَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْدٍۢ قَٰدِرِينَ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لَضَآلُّونَ بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ قَالَ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَلَٰوَمُونَ قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا طَٰغِينَ عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهَآ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَٰغِبُونَ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ أَفَنَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ كَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ أَمْ لَكُمْ كِتَٰبٌۭ فِيهِ تَدْرُسُونَ إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ أَمْ لَكُمْ أَيْمَٰنٌ عَلَيْنَا بَٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۙ إِنَّ لَكُمْ لَمَا تَحْكُمُونَ سَلْهُمْ أَيُّهُم بِذَٰلِكَ زَعِيمٌ أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَٰدِقِينَ يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَن سَاقٍۢ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ خَٰشِعَةً أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌۭ ۖ وَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَٰلِمُونَ فَذَرْنِى وَمَن يُكَذِّبُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ ۖ سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ وَأُمْلِى لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ كَيْدِى مَتِينٌ أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًۭا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍۢ مُّثْقَلُونَ أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌۭ لَّوْلَآ أَن تَدَٰرَكَهُۥ نِعْمَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ لَنُبِذَ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُومٌۭ فَٱجْتَبَٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَجَعَلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Transliteration

Nun vel kalemi ve ma yesturun. Ma ente bi ni'meti rabbike bi mecnun. Ve inne leke le ecren gayre memnun. Ve inneke le ala hulukın azim. Fe se tubsıru ve yubsırun. Bi eyyikumul meftun. İnne rabbeke huve a'lemu bi men dalle an sebilihi ve huve a'lemu bil muhtedin. Fe la tutııl mukezzibin. Veddu lev tudhinu fe yudhinun. Ve la tutı' kulle hallafin mehin. Hemmazin meşşain bi nemim. Mennaın lil hayri mu'tedin esim. Utullin ba'de zalike zenim. En kane za malin ve benin. İza tutla aleyhi ayatuna kale esatirul evvelin. Se nesimuhu alel hurtum. İnna belevnahum ke ma belevna ashabel cenneh, iz aksemule yasri munneha musbihin. Ve la yestesnun. Fe tafe aleyha taifun min rabbike ve hum naimun. Fe asbahat kes sarim. Fe tenadev musbihin. Enıgdu ala harsikum in kuntum sarımin. Fentaleku ve hum yetehafetun. En la yedhulennehel yevme aleykum miskin. Ve gadev ala hardin kadirin. Fe lemma reevha kalu inna le dallun. Bel nahnu mahrumun. Kale evsatuhum e lem ekul lekum levla tusebbihun. Kalu subhane rabbina inna kunna zalimin. Fe akbele ba'duhum ala ba'dın yetelavemun. Kalu ya veylena inna kunna tagin. Asa rabbuna en yubdilena hayren minha inna ila rabbina ragıbun. Kezalikel azab, ve le azabul ahıreti ekber, lev kanu ya'lemun. İnne lil muttekine ınde rabbihim cennatin naim. E fe necalul muslimine kel mucrimin. Ma lekum, keyfe tahkumun. Em lekum kitabun fihi tedrusun. İnne lekum fihi lema tehayyerun. Em lekum eymanun aleyna baligatun ila yevmil kıyameti inne lekum lema tahkumun. Sel hum eyyuhum bi zalike zeim. Em lehum şurekau, fel ye'tu bi şurekaihim in kanu sadikin. Yevme yukşefu an sakın ve yud'avne iles sucudi fe la yestetiun. Haşiaten ebsaruhum terhekuhum zilleh, ve kad kanu yud'avne iles sucudi ve hum salimun. Fe zerni ve men yukezzibu bi hazel hadis, se nestedricuhum min haysu la ya'lemun. Ve umli lehum, inne keydi metin. Em tes'eluhum ecren fe hum min magremin muskalun. Em inde humul gaybu fehum yektubun. Fasbir li hukmi rabbike ve la tekun ke sahıbil hut, iz nada ve huve mekzum. Levla en tedarekehu ni'metun min rabbihi le nubize bil arai ve huve mezmum. Fectebahu rabbuhu fe cealehu mines salihin. Ve in yekadullezine keferu le yuzlikuneke bi ebsarihim lemma semiuz zikra ve yekulune innehu le mecnun. Ve ma huve illa zikrun lil alemin.

Translation (EN)

Nun; by the pen and what they write, indeed, you are favored by your Lord, and you are not insane. Nun; by the pen and what they write, indeed, you are favored by your Lord, and you are not insane. Indeed, for you is an uninterrupted reward. And indeed, you possess great character. Soon you will see who among you is the mad one; they will see it too. Indeed, your Lord is All-Aware of those who stray from His path; and He is All-Aware of those who are rightly guided. Therefore, do not obey the deniers; they wish for you to soften your stance towards them, so that they may praise you and behave gently. Do not be concerned with the vile oppressor, the one who constantly prevents good, who is excessive, sinful, and a frequent swearer, nor with the one marked by disgrace, who has wealth and sons. When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "These are the tales of the ancients." Soon We will humiliate him by rubbing his nose in the ground. We tested them just as We tested the owners of the garden when they swore to harvest it in the morning without leaving any for the poor. But while they were asleep, a plague from your Lord encompassed the garden, and it became blackened. In the early morning, they called to one another, saying, "Go early to your harvest if you would cut it down." They walked secretly, saying, "No poor person shall enter there today." They went early, though they had the power to help the poor. When they saw the garden, they said, "Surely we have lost our way; perhaps we have been deprived." Their middle one said, "Did I not tell you to glorify Allah?" They said, "Exalted is our Lord; indeed, we were wrongdoers." They began to blame one another. Then they said, "Woe to us; indeed, we were transgressors." "Perhaps our Lord will give us something better than this; indeed, we now turn to our Lord." Such is the punishment; but the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if only they knew! For those who fear Allah, there are gardens of bliss with their Lord. Shall We treat those who have submitted themselves to Allah like the criminals? What is the matter with you? How do you judge? Or do you have a scripture in which you study? Surely, what you choose will be there. Or do you have oaths binding upon us until the Day of Resurrection, that whatever you judge will be yours? Ask them, "Who will take this upon themselves?" Or do they have partners? Let them bring their partners if they are truthful. On the Day of Horror, the shins will be uncovered, and they will be called to prostration, but they will not be able to do so. While they were healthy, they were called to prostration. Be patient until the decree of your Lord comes; and do not be like the owner of the fish, who called out to his Lord while he was in distress. Had it not been for a favor from his Lord, he would have been cast onto the shore while he was blamed. His Lord chose him and made him among the righteous. Indeed, when the disbelievers hear the Quran, they are almost going to strike you down with their eyes, and they say, "Indeed, he is insane." His Lord chose him and made him among the righteous.
