Repentance
"Repentance is the act of turning to Allah in regret for one's sins and seeking forgiveness."
Spiritual & Deep Meaning
Repentance is the act of acknowledging one's sins and seeking forgiveness from Allah in Islam. Repentance consists of two stages: the first is to feel genuine remorse for one's sins; the second is to express this remorse by turning to Allah. Repentance is a refuge in Allah's mercy and an inner purification process. Throughout Islamic history, Muslims have demonstrated this will to seek forgiveness for their sins. This act is also vital for the individual's spiritual development. Repentance not only forgives sins but also provides an opportunity for the person to correct their character.
