Fana means transcending one's own existence and ego, thus becoming one with Allah. In the Sufi journey, this stage is considered one of the highest levels of spiritual maturity. Fana occurs when the individual surrenders their ego to the existence of Allah. This process purifies the person from everything material and spiritual, leading them to a state of pure existence. With this awareness, the individual gains spiritual depth and believes in the reality of being one with His will. Fana is a critical concept for understanding and living the essence of Sufism.
