What is the inevitable? And what will make you know what the inevitable is? The Thamud and the 'Aad denied the reality that was to come upon them. Therefore, the Thamud were destroyed by a terrible blast. And the 'Aad were destroyed by a fierce, freezing wind. Allah sent that wind upon them for seven nights and eight days, and you would see the people fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees. Do you see any remnant of them? Pharaoh, and those before him, and the overturned cities committed sins. They disobeyed the messenger of their Lord. So their Lord seized them with a seizing that was increased. When the flood overflowed, We carried you in the floating ship, as a lesson for you, and that attentive ears may listen. When the flood overflowed, We carried you in the floating ship, as a lesson for you, and that attentive ears may listen. The Day the Horn is blown, and the earth and the mountains are lifted and crushed with a single blow, that Day will occur, the Day of Resurrection. The Day the Horn is blown, and the earth and the mountains are lifted and crushed with a single blow, that Day will occur, the Day of Resurrection. The Day the Horn is blown, and the earth and the mountains are lifted and crushed with a single blow, that Day will occur, the Day of Resurrection. The heaven will be torn apart; that Day, the order will be disrupted. The angels will be around it; that Day, eight of them will bear the Throne of your Lord. That Day, you will be presented [for judgment], and nothing about you will remain hidden. As for the one who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, 'Here, read my record! Indeed, I was certain that I would meet my account.' As for the one who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, 'Here, read my record! Indeed, I was certain that I would meet my account.' Indeed, he will be in a pleasant life, in a high garden, with its fruits hanging near. Indeed, he will be in a pleasant life, in a high garden, with its fruits hanging near. Indeed, he will be in a pleasant life, in a high garden, with its fruits hanging near. It will be said to them, 'Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do in the days past.' But as for the one who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, 'Oh, I wish I had not been given my record and had not known what my account was. I wish it had been the end. My wealth has not availed me. My power has gone from me.' But as for the one who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, 'Oh, I wish I had not been given my record and had not known what my account was. I wish it had been the end. My wealth has not availed me. My power has gone from me.' But as for the one who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, 'Oh, I wish I had not been given my record and had not known what my account was. I wish it had been the end. My wealth has not availed me. My power has gone from me.' It will be commanded, 'Seize him and shackle him. Then throw him into Hellfire. Then bind him with a chain whose length is seventy cubits; indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great. And he did not encourage the feeding of the poor. So today he will have no devoted friend here. And he will have no food except from the discharge of wounds; none will eat it except the sinners.' I swear by what you see and what you do not see that it is indeed the word of a noble messenger. I swear by what you see and what you do not see that it is indeed the word of a noble messenger. I swear by what you see and what you do not see that it is indeed the word of a noble messenger. It is not the word of a poet; little do you believe! Nor is it the word of a soothsayer; little do you reflect! It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. And if he had made up about Us some false sayings, We would have seized him by the right hand; then We would have cut from him the aorta. And if he had made up about Us some false sayings, We would have seized him by the right hand; then We would have cut from him the aorta. And if he had made up about Us some false sayings, We would have seized him by the right hand; then We would have cut from him the aorta. And none of you could have protected him from Us. Indeed, this Qur'an is a lesson for those who fear [Allah]. And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. Indeed, this Qur'an is a cause of grief for the disbelievers. Indeed, it is the absolute truth. So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most Great.
