Zuhd

In Sufism, zuhdi means reducing one's passion for worldly blessings and directing oneself solely towards the pleasure of Allah. Zuhd requires distancing oneself from worldly pleasures and leading a meaningful life. This concept enables a believer to reduce the love of the world in their heart and increase their attachment to Allah. Zuhd is generally a fundamental principle adopted by those progressing on the Sufi path. Zuhd does not merely mean giving up wealth and property; it also means purifying oneself from the love of the world at the level of the heart and mind. In this context, zuhdi is a quest to add spiritual depth and meaning in the true sense of the word.
