Tawhid

Tawhid is one of the cornerstones of Islamic belief. While expressing the belief in the oneness of Allah, it emphasizes the uniqueness of His attributes, power, and existence. Tawhid is one of the foremost principles in the worship and daily lives of Muslims. In Sufism, Tawhid is also related to the weakening of the carnal feelings in one's heart and turning towards Allah. In this process, the individual strives to deeply understand the existence and oneness of Allah. For Muslims, the understanding of Tawhid transcends all worldly matters and leads a person on a spiritual journey.
