Nafs al-Mutma'inna

Nafs al-Mutma'inna expresses the state in which a person is spiritually at peace and tranquil in Sufism. This concept is one of the highest degrees of the nafs and represents an ideal state reached in an individual's spiritual journey. Nafs al-Mutma'inna is a symbol of trust in Allah, surrender, and peace. At this stage, where a person is at peace with their nafs, they transcend all temporary pleasures of the world and experience divine love and tranquility. In Sufi training, reaching Nafs al-Mutma'inna is considered an ultimate goal that a disciple seeks to achieve in their spiritual path (suluk). This process not only provides individual satisfaction for the person but also contributes to the peace of society. Nafs al-Mutma'inna is the key to the soul's true attainment of peace in Sufism.
