Marifah

Marifah means knowledge and wisdom in Sufism. This concept expresses a profound knowledge aimed at recognizing Allah and understanding His creation. Marifah is not only an intellectual concept but also a journey of contemplation and understanding made with the heart and soul. Holding an important place in Sufi education, marifah deepens a person's relationship with Allah by purifying their ego on the path of spiritual development. Marifah is also necessary for an individual to recognize their essence and inner world, adding meaning to their life through this recognition. A person finds inner peace through marifah and increases their closeness to Allah. In Sufi literature, marifah is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about applying this knowledge in life.
