Rights of Neighbors
"The right of neighbors defines the rights and responsibilities that neighbors have towards one another. Neighborly relations hold great importance in Islam."
Spiritual & Deep Meaning
The right of neighbors is the matter of maintaining friendly relations among neighbors and observing the rights owed to one another in Islam. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of kindness towards neighbors while also stressing that they should not be wrongfully harmed. Helping one's neighbor, treating them well, and providing support when they are in need are among the duties of neighborliness. In Islamic societies, neighborly relations are among the elements that strengthen the social fabric of the community, nurture the understanding of cooperation and solidarity, and enhance peace. The right of neighbors is not limited to physical interaction; it also includes spiritual support and solidarity. Therefore, respecting the right of neighbors is a responsibility mandated by both religion and humanity.
