Irfan
"Irfan is a state of deep understanding and knowledge; it is the knowledge of the heart and soul in Sufism."
Spiritual & Deep Meaning
Irfan literally means 'understanding' or 'comprehension'. In Sufi terminology, irfan refers to the capacity of a person to see the truth with the eye of the heart and to understand the essence. Sufi masters have interpreted irfan as closeness to Allah, a form of spiritual wisdom. Irfan is acquired not only through intellect but also through inner experiences. A person who possesses irfan tends to turn inward rather than outward, exhibiting an attitude that questions the truths behind existence. This facilitates the individual's spiritual development and maturation.
Example / Wisdom Quote
