Denial
"Denial means a person's rejection of themselves and their actions."
Spiritual & Deep Meaning
In Sufi thought, denial refers to a person's rejection of their own existence and actions. This concept is related to facing inner conflicts and the state of self-acceptance. In Sufism, denial can also be viewed as a step taken towards seeing the truths. The confrontation with the ego's impurities should be the main focus. Denial can sometimes be a turning point for drawing lessons; it is necessary for self-evaluation and maturation. However, excessive denial can harm a person's spiritual development. In this process, self-discipline, willpower, and patience are of great importance.
