Ikhlas

Ikhlas is an important term that expresses sincerity in Sufism and Islam. The value of the actions of a Sufi traveler is based on the understanding of Ikhlas. This indicates that the intention in a person's heart is directed only towards the pleasure of Allah. True Ikhlas means an act of worship that is free from ostentation and comes from the heart. In Sufism, Ikhlas ranks first in the spiritual training of disciples under the guidance of a master. Maintaining this state is essential for the spiritual elevation of the seeker. Otherwise, drifting away from sincerity makes it difficult to reach the desired end of the spiritual journey.
