Ghayb

According to Islamic belief, Ghayb refers to beings and events that are unknown, unseen, and imperceptible to humans. This term encompasses both spiritual dimensions and future occurrences. The most important aspect of Ghayb is that it is under the knowledge of Allah. In the Qur'an, knowledge of the unseen is defined as exclusive to Allah, and believing in this is considered one of the tenets of faith for believers. Muslims do not accept the claims of those who assert knowledge of the unseen and only acknowledge that Allah knows the Ghayb. The concept of Ghayb also carries a profound meaning in Sufism; an individual may develop various spiritual methods to open up to the realm of Ghayb in their spiritual journey.
