Indeed, has mankind not experienced a long period of time before being created and becoming something of worth? We created man from a mixed drop of fluid; We test him; therefore, We made him hear and see. Indeed, We have guided him; some are grateful, while others are ungrateful. Verily, for the disbelievers, We have prepared chains, iron collars, and a blazing hellfire. Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup mixed with camphor. This is a spring from which Allah's servants will drink, causing it to gush forth. They fulfill their vows and fear a day whose evil will be widespread. They give food, despite their desire for it, to the poor, the orphan, and the captive. "We feed you only for the sake of Allah; we do not wish from you any reward or thanks. Indeed, we fear from our Lord a day of frowning and distress," they say. Allah will protect them from the evil of that day and will grant them radiance and joy on their faces. The reward for their patience will be Paradise and silks therein. They will recline on couches therein, and they will not see therein any burning heat or freezing cold. The shade of fruit trees will be near them, and the picking of its fruits will be made easy for them. Silver vessels and crystal bowls will circulate among them. The crystal is as bright as silver, and they will measure it out and distribute it. There, they will be given to drink from a cup mixed with ginger from a fountain called "Salsabeel." Immortal youths will circulate among them; when you see them, you would think they are scattered pearls. Wherever you look, you will see blessings and a great kingdom. They will wear fine green silks and bright brocade, adorned with silver bracelets. Their Lord will give them pure drinks. "This is your reward for what you used to do; your efforts are worthy of gratitude," it will be said. Indeed, We are the ones who have sent down the Qur'an to you. So be patient until your Lord's decree comes; do not obey the sinful and disbelieving among them. Remember the name of your Lord morning and evening. Prostrate to Him during the night and glorify Him for a long period. Indeed, mankind loves the fleeting pleasures of this world and forgets the weighty day that is to come. We are the ones who created them and strengthened their joints; if We will, We could replace them with others like them. This is only a reminder; so whoever wills may take to his Lord a way. And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Wise. He grants mercy to whom He wills. As for the oppressors, for them, He has prepared a painful punishment.
