Afterlife

The afterlife is the phase of existence that follows death in Islamic belief. This period is a process where a person finds the results of the experiences and good deeds acquired in worldly life. Many verses in the Quran emphasize the afterlife. According to Islam, in the afterlife, everyone will be held accountable for their actions and will face either paradise or hell accordingly. The belief in the afterlife serves as a source of morale and motivation for Muslim individuals; doing good deeds in this life fosters the desire to achieve a high rank in the afterlife. In the path of Sufism, the afterlife is not only a goal but also serves as a guide for a person's spiritual maturation. The thought of the afterlife encourages individuals to engage in good deeds.
