Seyr-i Süluk

"Seyr-i Süluk is a spiritual journey or a gradual process of worship undertaken to reach Allah."

Spiritual & Deep Meaning

Seyr-i Süluk refers to the spiritual journey of a disciple (murid) in Sufism towards reaching Allah. This process facilitates the individual's spiritual and personal development and aims for closeness to Allah. Seyr-i Süluk consists of many stages; each stage holds significant importance in the spiritual education of the murid. These stages include goals such as abandoning bad traits, adopting good morals, and enhancing the feeling of closeness to Allah at each stage. In the Sufi tradition, practices such as dhikr, vird, and rabita play a significant role during this journey. Seyr-i Süluk also enables the individual to recognize and gain mastery over their own self (nafs). As a result, Seyr-i Süluk not only brings the individual closer to Allah but also helps them develop an understanding of worship.
