Islamic Parables - The Wealth of Qarun, His Arrogance, and His Collision with the Abyss

A Tale that Comforts Those Who Suffer from Loneliness

"Feeling lonely in crowds can leave a deep sorrow within a person. Loneliness represents a state that wears down a person's soul. But remember, just as wealth does not shape the soul, loneliness does not define a person's character. The teachings of Qarun illustrate the importance of being filled with love and humility even in loneliness. You will learn how sharing your wealth and being grateful can fill this void in your soul. In moments when you feel alone, this tale will be a source of hope that touches you."

Qarun had become almost a legend due to his wealth. He had a unique style; he wore extravagant clothes and walked around, captivating people. When he appeared and said, 'My wealth and property belong to me; Allah has granted this to me!' he was actually making the greatest mistake. Wealth was distancing him from Allah and causing him to despise others. The true owner of wealth is not the one who possesses it, but the one who can use it correctly. However, Qarun could not understand this truth. One day, when the people who followed him betrayed him, perhaps the thing he feared the most happened to him. His annihilation will weigh his arrogance on the Day of Resurrection. It should not be forgotten that alongside the mercy and compassion in wealth, there is also arrogance and indulgence.
