The Story that Guides Those Who Struggle with Impatience
"Impatience often leads to disappointment and heartbreak. The story of Ebu Zer illustrates how arrogant behaviors, when combined with impatience, create a sense of loneliness. This narrative serves as a source of tranquility for impatient souls, emphasizing the importance of patience and taking lessons from experiences. Ebu Zer’s experience guides those who wish to cope with impatience."
Ebu Zer, during the early days of Islam, was a companion from a wealthy family. One day, Gabriel explained to him how wealth changes a person and how pride and arrogance weaken human relationships. Ebu Zer exhibited a proud attitude by saying to one Muslim, 'you are a slave, I am free.' Following this incident, Allah taught him a lesson. Ebu Zer suddenly found himself next to a poor person made of clay. Later, realizing his former arrogant attitude that insulted this individual, he felt deep regret and vowed never to be arrogant again.
