The Tale of Instilling Courage in Those with the Problem of Impatience

Abdullah ibn Revaha, while preparing to face the enemy in the Battle of Badr, was reflecting his inner faith outwardly. He called out: 'The most important aspect of war is the pleasure of Allah!' With these words, he boosted the courage of his companions. When the battle began, while other soldiers were wavering in fear on the battlefield, Abdullah made great efforts not to weaken. He was not only a soldier participating in the battle but also a source of motivation. Whenever the enemy's superiority posed a strong threat, Abdullah gripped his sword tightly with both hands and did not shy away from challenging the strongest of the enemy. While clashing with each enemy, he encouraged other Muslims by saying, 'Allah's help will not abandon us!' In the end, Abdullah became a testament to the struggle of a Muslim for martyrdom and faith with this struggle. Without straying from the Islamic cause he was deeply attached to, he embraced martyrdom and became an exemplary leader.
