Repentance and Seeking Forgiveness

Repentance and seeking forgiveness is the process in Islam where believers turn to Allah to purify themselves from their sins and seek forgiveness. This process facilitates the individual's spiritual cleansing and the attainment of Allah's mercy. Islam acknowledges that every human can make mistakes and teaches that the door of repentance is always open. In this context, repentance and seeking forgiveness demonstrate the vastness of Allah's mercy and forgiveness, and the opportunity for humans to always return to the right path. The noble hadiths present many examples emphasizing the importance and virtue of repentance and seeking forgiveness. These hadiths serve as a guide for believers to cleanse their hearts and turn towards Allah. A person who repents gains value in the sight of Allah and finds the opportunity to start anew by being purified from their sins. Therefore, repentance and seeking forgiveness are means of spiritual renewal and closeness to Allah in Islam.
