Sickness and Healing
Islam places great importance on the topics of sickness and healing. Sicknesses are tests sent by Allah to test His servants and teach them patience. At the same time, illnesses can be a means for the forgiveness of sins. Healing is a blessing and mercy from Allah. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) has given many recommendations to his ummah regarding sickness and healing, teaching methods of supplication and treatment. These hadiths emphasize that Muslims should pay attention to both their spiritual and physical health.
"Allah has sent down sickness and healing. He has created a cure for every sickness. Therefore, seek treatment, but do not seek treatment through what is haram."
This hadith teaches that there is a cure for every illness and that one should avoid haram means in the pursuit of treatment.
