The Wise Sayings of Imam Shafi: A Guide to Life

Imam Shafi is the founder of one of the most significant schools of Islamic jurisprudence. Born and raised in Mecca, Imam Shafi received his initial education there. While engaging in trade at a young age, he attended hadith classes. Later, he settled in Medina, deepening his jurisprudential knowledge by studying under Imam Malik. He also encountered Kahtanî and examined his views. His works on the principles of jurisprudence brought significant innovations during his time. Recognized as an authority in theology, Imam Shafi possesses profound knowledge not only in jurisprudence but also in hadith. In the later stages of his life, he settled in Egypt, where he trained many students and continues to guide with his writings on Islamic law.
