Imam Shafi

Imam Shafi is the founder of one of the most important schools of thought in Islamic jurisprudence. Born and raised in Mecca, Imam Shafi received his initial education there. While engaging in trade at a young age, he attended hadith classes. Later, he settled in Medina and deepened his jurisprudential knowledge by studying under Imam Malik. He also became acquainted with Kahtani and examined his views. His studies on the principles of jurisprudence brought significant innovations during his time. Recognized as an authority in theology, Imam Shafi possesses profound knowledge not only in jurisprudence but also in hadith. In the later years of his life, he settled in Egypt. He trained many students in education and continues to guide through the works he authored on Islamic law.
